Kewpie Doll Earrings Handbeaded This example is in perfectGet all dolled up! These minute vintage Japanese dolls are made from celluloid and date from the 1940s. Celluloid was invented in 1863 and was popular for dolls from 1870 1930. The detail is amazing, with little moving arms and pink and green detailing to the bodies. They are extremely lightweight and attached to a loop of small colourful seed beads to create a really original pair of earrings. Silver filled hooks.
