ギンザ・グラフィック・ギャラリーでの展覧会に合わせて刊行された、雑誌『WERK』第20号。本書では、これまで刊行されてきたWERK各号の細部を収録し、製本の構造、インクの染み、印刷の網点から紙の繊維まで、普段は肉眼で見過ごされてしまう印刷物のディテールを極限まで拡大して見せることで、本という媒体が持つ物質的な美しさを改めて提示します。2004年、アディダスオリジナルスとコラボレーションした第9号では、破れた表紙をセロテープで貼り合わせたような装丁で刊行されました。以来、経年やダメージなど偶発的なかたちに魅力を見出してきた『WERK』各号のディティールが、この第20号で一冊にまとめられています。
