Japan, Empire. An Order of the Rising Sun, I Class Badge Archive 1873” translation (Spain to the, Kyokujitsu sh). Institution Date: April 10, 1875 by Emperor Meiji. In silver, an Order of the Rising Sun I Class, with white enamels and red cabochon medallion. The enamels are intact with very minor crazing to a few arms. The badge is missing the Paulownia flower suspension at 12 oclock. The badge measures at 77 mm in diameter, and weighs 90. 5 grams. It is in very fine condition.
