Morocco, Kingdom. A Royal Order Of Civil Merit Medal, I Class, C.1970 United Republic of and flat catchOuissam al Rida. Instituted in 1966. Two piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and green enamels, marked on the reverse, measuring 33. 7 mm in diameter, intact enamels, original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Civil Merit was established by King Hassan II in 1966, in three classes: Exceptional Class, I Class and II Class. It was awarded to Moroccan citizens for meritorious civil services to the country.
