Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 68 mm (w) x 53. 92 mm (h), weighing 30. 4 grams, loss of silver finish evident, in overall better than very fine
