A Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge By Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid With Case Archive Towards the end of 1943Two piece construction, silvered nickle silver with blackened eagle, maker marked "GWL" in a circle (Gebrder Wegerhoff, Ldenscheid) on the reverse, 52. 7 mm x 63. 2 mm, vertical pinback, wear from period use, near extremely fine. In it hardshelled case of issue, inscribed "Luftwaffe Flugzeugfhrer=Abzeichen" on the lid, slotted medal bed, wear evident on the corners on the lid and in the fabric overlying the hinged area, case very fine.
