Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat War Badge, By Schwerin Newly Listed for successfully evacuating a bridge(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Re Issued on 3. 10. 1939 by Karl Dnitz. (Issued 1939 1945). Constructed of gilt tombac in the shape of a horizontally oriented oval laurel wreath, with a national eagle placed on top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, and with a submarine superimposed in the center of the badge, the reverse plain, with a vertical slender banjo style pinback, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch, marked Schwerin, Berlin 52 on the
