Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1943 Afrikakorps Trench Art Ring consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 26 mm (w) x 24(Afrikakorps Ring in Silber). Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a central faintly gilded rectangular medallion overlaid by a hand etched camel topped by an inscription of TRIPOL (TRIPOLI) and situated above a date of 1943, flanked on each side by additional hand etched imagery consisting of a camel and mosque with a palm tree, the interior bearing a silver content number of 900, corresponding to a size 6, weighing 8. 3 grams, a quintessential
