The original film was perhaps best known for its bad luck, mainly from the on set death of star Brandon Lee. So Miramax got a new team together, with Tim Pope directing, David Goyer writing the screenplay, and Vincent Prez as The Crow. Sadly, it didn't perform well at the box office, and critics also panned it. Regardless, it's still an important part of The Crow
