They helped shape the early USHC landscape with the release of their debut 7", 1983's Pick Your King, and served as an antagonistic and aggressive part of the scene for much longer. By 1989, the scene was substantially different. Many of the original bands had broken up and scenes had changed and moved on, but Poison Idea had released handful of EPs, many of which included old demos
