Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 45 mm (w) x 52. 75 mm (h), weighing 13. 9 grams, most of the silver finish has been lost and minor oxidation is
